Liberated churn and dash!

I had to put away my daughters word quilt. (inspired by Lazy gal Quilting check out her tutorials) My son is home for spring break and I don't want him to see it as I want to make him one also and he isn't very good at keeping secrets from his sister. So I started playing with making some liberated Churn and Dash.
And playing with scraps making wonkey houses and playing with other kinds of pieced blocks.

I was thinking of making a couple of baby blanket size so I could easily free motion quilt them. If you check out Quilt Messing Around Feb 16 Broken Stained Glass quilt. I love the look of her quilting.

  1. WOW! Very creative and liberated. I love your choice of colors, your houses are great. I like using bright colors too.

  2. Love the liberated churn and dashes, these are the first I have seen. All your color combinations are terrific.

  3. Love your work....totally outside the lines! Colors are wonderful!

  4. Hi there! Thought I'd stop by to say "thanks for stopping by my blog!" I cruised through some of your recent posts about your trip to Ireland - I'm SO jealous that you had a month there! I think I could have stayed... indefinately. :) I've been sick since I got back - so I'm just getting the posts up about our trip - feel free to check back over the next week to find more stories! Meg
